Elanco’s plate and shell heat exchanger is a rugged combination of the advantages of both a shell and tube exchanger and a plate and frame exchanger. The plate and shell heat exchanger is a completely welded unit featuring a welded plate pack inside of a shell. These units are engineered to endure high operating temperatures and pressures (up to 1500 °F and 2100 psig), and due to the welding, there is no need for gaskets.
