Wide gap, or free-flow, plate and frame exchangers allow you to forget about particulate clogging in high fiber applications thanks to a minimum number of metal to metal contact points between plates. The wide gap between plates allows larger (up to 6 mm in diameter) particulates and highly viscous fluids to flow with ease. Free flow plate exchangers are ideally suited to pulp and paper applications, as well as high/coarse fiber chemical processes.
